Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly known as Jessie J, is a known English musician and singer. Known for her unconventional music sound, which combines soul-soul vocals, pop electropop, and hip-hop, Jessie garnered much fame at a young age. Apart from her numerous honors, she's also been nominated for the 2011 "Critics' Choice Brit Award" and for the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her professional career began at age 11 at the time that Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the musical Whistle Down the Wind. The year 2002 was the time she appeared in"The Last Sleepers," the "National Youth Musical Theater" show "The The Late Sleepers." Her debut album "Who You Are" was released in February 2011. The singer became famous the following year. In the UK alone the album sold 105,000 units while in the US it was sold at 34,000. It was also the top two on the 'UK Albums Chart,' and as number 11 on "US Billboard 200..' Jessie is also well-known for her charitable work and is involved in charities such as 'Children in Need' and 'Comic Relief.'
